Leeds Liverpool Canal Bicentenary 2016
Blackburn’s forth ever canal festival which was easily
the biggest Canal Festival the Leeds Liverpool Canal has ever seen
with over 5400 over two days, 190 people canoeing as part of the Desmond Family Canoeing Trail, 1000 people visiting the Kennet historical barge and more Swans that have ever graced any waterway in England!
With the continuing support of Supper Sow Way and Twin Valleys the canalfest brand and launch of the Eanam Wharf Experience later this year will see Blackburn becoming the tourist destination of the 21st century as it was in the 19th!
